The country is known to have the busiest port in the world. The affluent nation is a combination of modern subways and skyscrapers with Indian, Malay and Chinese influences. Orchard Road has the biggest shopping mall where you can go for all your shopping needs while Singapore River is home to skyscrapers. Worship places are distributed all over Singapore where there are many shrines, temples, churches, and mosques representing the religious diversity in Singapore comprising of Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam among other faiths.

When planning a visit to Singapore, you need to note that the country is quite sunny and bright and you should carry sunglasses with you. Precipitations are also not unusual and carrying an umbrella with you would be a great idea. Due to the hot and humid climate experienced by the country, shorts by carrying some repellents as they are a common problem in the country.

Singapore is a place where almost every sport can be practiced such as golfing, snow skiing ice skating, scuba diving, and surfing. Gambling is of late becoming a major sporting activity in Singapore as many resorts are built with casinos such as Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands resorts which are the two major gambling spots in Singapore.
