For laid-back and passive leisure, the city beams with nature centers, wide parks and well-groomed gardens exuding a relaxing air, such as The Maymont Park, Byrd Park, and Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. And for a more adventure-packed activity, there is the James River granting unlimited opportunities for outdoor adventure, particularly white water rafting.
