Marbella, Spain

Marbella boasts of being one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. Once a very small white village with nothing more than mere fishing, Marbella has grown to become a highly cosmopolitan beach resort on Costa del Sol, Spain. Tourists flying in to Marbella are served by the Malaga Airport and tourists can use taxi services to travel to Marbella. Wheelchair accessible taxis are also available for the disabled and are relatively cheap and very convenient. Getting around Marbella is best done by hiring a car and most of the well known car hire companies have local offices here. Taxis are also available but can be quite expensive. Before you board a taxi, make sure that you reach an agreement with the driver on what you are going to pay in order to avoid conflicts.

Horseracing is another activity that attracts numerous of tourists to Marbella. Hipodromo Mijas Costa is found just less than 15 min away from the heart of Marbella. The gold course has numerous entertainment spots including restaurants, music and bars. The popular Spanish Ski resort is a perfect place to visit as well. The Parasailing activity is yet another great activity to take part in. Learning Spanish in Marbella is a common activity for tourists especially in Don Quuijote.

Shopping in Marbella is an incredible amazing that you should certainly not miss. Some of the top shopping centers here include the El Corte Ingles, Marina Banus and La Canada. Recently, Marbella has been a major travel destination for celebrities, wealthy people, aristocrats and princes from United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. It is also a major destination for luxurious yachts with many cruise ships docking at the harbor. Boaters and golfers also visit Marbella in high numbers but even an ordinary tourist will find a lot to do as well. Other attraction sights near Marbella are the Arabian wall, Marbella Club Hotel and the Bonsai Museum.
